During the review of the components of the PlayStation 5 today, we learned about a lot of technical things related to the device, such as the cooling system, as well as the connection and connectivity techniques, but the question that remained unanswered, perhaps to some is how to connect an additional storage disk SSD to increase device storage space?
The PlayStation 5 device contains 4 USB ports, three of which support high speed 10 Gb / s, but these ports will not be suitable for connecting an SSD disk to be approved as an expansion of the internal disk and play games directly through it and there is a secret entrance that Sony placed in the device that can be accessed only by removing the cover White device.

As you can see in the pictures below, after removing the white cover, which does not require you to use any loosening keys, all you have to do is press and slide it down, and it will slide and become removable, and then on the front side next to the cooling fan will appear a metal cover fixed with a hook that can be removed and becomes the place to add a disk External SSD shown.
Some followers believe that in order to reach the place of placing the new expansion disk, it may cause us to lose the warranty, but this is not correct, as the warranty label is placed on the fastening screw in the backside and far from the extra disc container located on the front side, as shown in the picture below.
Sony will, in the coming period, recommend a number of commercial SSD disks available in the market that will be suitable for use as device expansion discs. You can see the sizes that will be compatible with the following image.
Also, the use of USB-A and high-speed USB-C inputs in the device will make it easy to transfer games to and from the internal SSD of the device, and this will be one of the alternatives means that Sony will provide to users so that it can transfer the games that you do not want to play at the moment to the external disk, either from Type SSD or HDD and restore it whenever you want with super fast speed.
Also, the current generation games can be played through external disks connected to the device through the USB-A or USB-C ports without any problems, but these games can also be copied to the internal SSD and run from there.
